This adapter allows an aftermarket head unit to be installed, whilst bypassing the factory fitted amplified system. This adapter is designed to match the correct impedance of the vehicles speaker system.
Compatible in the following vehicles:
BMW 3 Series. From years 2001-2005. Note E46.
BMW 5 Series. From years 2000-2003. Note E39.
BMW X5. From years 2001-2006. Note E53.
BMW Active System Adapter - This adapter works to enables new aftermarket head unit to activate the vehicles pre-existing amplified speakers. Note: To activate rear speakers, the Blue and White wire located on the Red Mini ISO plug also needs to be connected to the Blue wire coming off of the New Head Unit (marked Amp Remote)
