The insignia stereo is rubbish and something had to give. Took a big gamble buying this kit, as I couldn't find a great deal of impartial info or see it properly before ordering. I took the plunge and ordered with a new touch screen pioneer. Fitting wasn't exactly straight forward for me as a previous owner had a Parrot fitted (clearly by a monkey with no thumbs), so had to untangle that first. Also became a little concerned when I realised that a little cutting was needed in the dash. But took a deep breath and got stuck in....
Result...It works and looks awesome.. The upper info screen actually has a sharper image now and all the car configuration bits (including my beloved VXR button) all work through the steering wheel controls, while the fit and finish is excellent, I would say that the facia plate is better quality and more accurately finished than the OE item I took off. The opening for the stereo is so close to the size of the stereo that it all looks as if it was meant to be and the car feels as if it has been brought up to date.
Really pleased with this, glad I brought it.
Finally, I ordered from this vender and all delivered in good time..
